(H)arc-Pictures

The legendary television series (H)arc-képek, filmed between 1992 and 1997, was a joint work of the cinematographer Lajos Nádorfi and the artist, writer and program editor György Szemadám, which attempted to present the contemporary Hungarian visual arts scene. This album is their memoir. The portrait photos taken by the cinematographer during and on the occasion of filming are accompanied by a thought or experience of the program editor, which shed light on moments about nearly eighty excellent artists that were perhaps less known or not known at all to the public.
